In 2017, The Workforce Development Board of Ventura County (WDB) awarded GBL Systems Corporation with the Collaborative Action Award. This celebrated award signifies a partnership between GBL and the WDB in helping to meet employer workforce needs; improving education, workforce training, and supporting business expansion/retention throughout Ventura County.

Also in 2017, GBL was selected by the Pacific Coast Business Times as a winner of the Spirit of Small Business Awards in the Ventura County business category. As such, GBL was showcased in an article that was published in the July 28th print edition of the Pacific Coast Business Times. GBL was also honored with a company overview video presented during the awards luncheon, and received several certificates for applicable subcategory awards; including a 2017 Spirit of Small Business plaque.

In 2010, Inc. magazine ranked GBL Systems Corporation number 860 on its Inc. 5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy – America’s independent-minded entrepreneurs. GBL was ranked in this annual list three years in a row (2010, 2011, and 2012).

In 2008, the U.S. Navy PMA-209 Program Manager awarded a Letter of Appreciation to GBL personnel for “exceptional engineering support,” and development of “exceptional and effective solutions” that enabled the Navy “to meet civil/military interoperability requirements for access to civil airspace worldwide.” This award secured GBL’s foothold as one of very few small defense contractors that continue to provide technical engineering support to the local Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), Point Mugu, California alongside larger providers such as Northrop Grumman, L-3 Titan and others.

In 2003, GBL received the NAWCWD Rear Admiral, U.S. Navy, Commander Achievement Award, and a Letter of Appreciation from the U.S. Navy PMA-241 Program Office for its work supporting the F-14 fleet in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
