GBL AWS Upskill Initiative

GBL receives its first non-DoD contract and enters a new business area in upskilling and training current workers with AWS Cloud technologies; as Cloud technologies continue to help organizations transform at a rapid pace. Employees with the necessary AWS Cloud skills are increasingly in high demand. As an official Amazon Web Services (AWS) Training Partner, GBL is proud to provide the AWS Cloud training program to fifty selected participants, resulting in AWS credentials for participants that successfully complete the required curriculum. Moreover, each participant who completes AWS Cloud Foundations may also elect to take additional courses such as AWS Cloud Architecting, AWS Data Analytics, and AWS Security Foundations.

GBL’s AWS Cloud Foundations training course is intended for participants who seek an overall understanding of cloud concepts, AWS core services, security, architecture, pricing, and support. Participants will also learn to build on the AWS Management Console, examine successful cloud implementations, and apply their knowledge to cloud-based scenarios.

GBL is excited to be part of the EDC’s Digital Upskilling Program and to support the upskilling of Ventura County residents. We believe that investing in the AWS Cloud skills of Ventura County’s workforce will not only benefit the individuals selected to participate in the program, but also grow the collective skills of our local talent pool with individuals who can support cutting-edge AWS technology.

As part of participating in the EDC Digital Upskilling Program, graduates will receive career services coaching, interviewing, resume writing and LinkedIn profile guidance and placement support that includes a potential internship or job to help improve or relaunch their careers.
